Base Maintenance
Facility refurbished for new work

In November, HAECO Americas’ Lake City, Florida facility received a new hangar floor, refurbished hangar doors, energy-efficient lighting, new fire and safety systems and a new training area. The refurbishment project took an outdated hangar and turned it into a state-of-the-art, environmentally sound facility that can handle multiple aircraft in maintenance at the same time. The project was made possible with support and investment provided by the municipality of Lake City, Columbia County and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

The freshly refurbished hangar was put into production immediately and multiple lines of routine airframe maintenance work are already being performed there in a new customer programme. Work in the facility has resulted in the creation of more than 50 additional jobs, and is expected to generate more in the coming months.
