HAESL 2016 SD Report

HAESL has recently published its 2016 Sustainable Development (SD) Report, detailing the company’s efforts and achievements in sustainability over the past year. Adopting the vision of “Best in the World, Best for the World”, HAESL strives to achieve sustainability by utilising the four building blocks of its Sustainable Development Charter:

  • Economically sustainable
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Community involvement

 

Highlights of HAESL’s sustainability performance in 2016 and its plans for the future include:

 

  • 17% reduction in lost-time injury rate and 76% reduction in man-days lost compared with 2015.
  • Energy consumption intensity reduced by 5.4% compared with 2015.
  • Volunteer hours contributed to the community doubled.
  • Achievement of OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditation.
