In January and February, HAECO Hong Kong completed 15-month/6,000 flight hours maintenance checks on two Austrian Airlines Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. In addition to these checks, in March, HAECO Hong Kong installed an overhead cabin crew rest compartment and undertook cabin reconfiguration on another of the airline’s Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. The work scope included structural modification to accommodate rearrangement of the overhead compartments and galley modification. The Supplemental Type Certificate for these modifications was successfully obtained upon completion. HAECO Hong Kong worked seamlessly with Austrian Airlines, B/E Aerospace and Zodiac Airline Cabin Interiors Washington to accomplish this modification according to the airline’s unique specifications.
HAECO Hong Kong has established strong technical capabilities in the installation of crew rest areas and has completed over 30 of these modifications on Boeing 777 aircraft over the last few years.
