In May, Taikoo Engine Services (Xiamen) Co. Ltd. (TEXL) became the first TRUEngine authorised MRO for the GE90 engine. Since its establishment, TEXL has been working closely with GE Aviation to expand its GE90 capabilities to provide the highest standards of technical capability and service to customers.
To date, TEXL has repaired around 300 GE90 engines. In 2008, TEXL and GE Aviation entered into a long-term GE90 Branded Service Agreement (GBSA), which licenses TEXL as an authorised GE90 Service Provider, GE90 Centre of Excellence and the sole holder of a GE90 GBSA in Asia. Operating from a state-of-the-art 38,000 square metre facility, TEXL offers a growing range of component repairs and is equipped with a test cell rated at 150,000 pounds of thrust.
