On 10 January, STAECO redelivered its first completed input for new customer UTair Aviation (UTair), marking an encouraging start to a new business relationship, as well as the MRO’s successful entry into the Russian aircraft maintenance and repair market.
STAECO performed wing rear spar upper chord checks and repairs and Layout of Passenger Accommodation (LOPA) cabin modifications on UTair’s Boeing 737-500 aircraft. After confirming that cracks were evident in the rear spar upper chords on both wings, STAECO’s airframe and avionics teams worked together to expedite redelivery. As a result of workflow optimisation and STAECO’s customary can-do spirit, the team overcame any difficulties to complete the maintenance work in just 41 days - a quick turnaround time that impressed the airline customer.
