In July, HAECO Xiamen completed its first Boeing 757-200 passenger-to-freighter conversion for China Air Cargo Co., Ltd. (CACC). The aircraft is the 15th Boeing 757-200 freighter conversion completed by HAECO Xiamen and its Supplemental Type Certificate partner, Precision Aircraft Solutions (Precision).
HAECO Xiamen’s extensive range of aircraft engineering and maintenance services, and its close collaboration with Precision, were crucial to the success of this conversion project.
CACC, a subsidiary of the AVIC Group, obtained approval to establish an all-cargo carrier in 2015. With its technical expertise and strong track record in freighter conversion, HAECO Xiamen was an obvious choice for CACC to provide support in the areas of aircraft introduction and optimum configuration. This is the first time that HAECO Xiamen has guided a new airline through the freighter conversion approval process.
