HAECO Group has recently published its 2016 Sustainable Development (SD) Report, detailing the Group’s performance, strategies, latest initiatives and long-term commitments in the area of sustainability. Striving to be a sustainable leader within the MRO industry, the HAECO Group aims to operate in a responsible and forward-thinking way that strikes an equitable balance between economic growth, protection of the environment and engagement with the communities in which the Group operates.
Highlights of HAECO Group’s sustainability achievements in 2016 include:
- Energy efficiency maintained at the same level as 2015.
- 7% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared with 2015.
- 6% reduction in “total injury landscape” compared with 2015.
- OHSAS 18001 accreditation achieved by HAECO Group companies in Hong Kong.
- Launch of Group staff intra-company movement/transfer guidelines.
- Being part of the “Training by Airbus” network and the provision of Airbus A350 courses to Airbus customers.
- Leveraging Group purchasing power and encouraging the adoption of green specifications amongst suppliers.
- Contribution of HK$4.5 million to charity.
