Recognition for energy saving initiatives

HAECO Hong Kong has recently won the “Smart Business Energy Saving Award” in the sixth GREENPLUS Award Programme, organised by CLP Power Hong Kong Limited.
The company was commended for its excellent performance in implementing green measures to enhance energy efficiency. These include:
- HAECO Mobile – Line Services - a paperless integrated application to facilitate communication amongst Line Services frontline staff members through mobile devices, allowing them to efficiently access and update work-related information anytime, anywhere. The introduction of this innovative application results in the saving of approximately 1.1 million sheets of paper per year.
- Smart Printing System - default settings in office printers for double-sided printing and automatic cancellation of outdated documents, which leads to the saving of approximately 1.8 million sheets of A4 paper per year.
- Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Intelligent Utility – a computer programme developed internally, with a dashboard overview display that compares monthly energy utilities at different time intervals.
This year, HAECO Hong Kong was one of 46 award recipients, shortlisted from more than 7,000 entrants.
