On 4 and 5 November, HAECO Group staff took part in the annual Pedal Kart event held in Victoria Park in Hong Kong – an event organised by Round Table Hong Kong to raise funds for local and regional charities. HAECO Group has supported this meaningful event for 20 years.
Representing the HAECO Group this year was a fleet of four karts, with pedallers from both HAECO Hong Kong and HAECO Xiamen. HAECO has been sponsored by a generous local bicycle company for two consecutive years, providing the teams with SRAM bicycle parts that enhance the karts’ performance.
After intense competition, the men’s team from HAECO Hong Kong were named first runner-up overall, as well as winning first place in the Industry Sector Trophy. HAECO Xiamen also performed well, with its men’s team finishing as second runner-up overall. With the concerted efforts of the HAECO pedallers and their fundraising team, a total of HK$120,000 was raised for charity.
