In April, HAECO Group participated in one of the world’s largest annual aviation industry events, MRO Americas, held in Orlando, Florida. Organised by leading industry publication, Aviation Week, MRO Americas attracts over 850 exhibitors each year and draws together aviation professionals from MROs, airlines, suppliers and OEMs to exchange ideas and share experience and knowledge.
The HAECO booth – modelled on the newly-opened fifth hangar at HAECO Americas’ headquarters at Greensboro, North Carolina – was a great attraction in the exhibition hall. Representatives from the Group’s US, Hong Kong and Mainland China operations were there to introduce visitors to HAECO’s comprehensive services and capabilities, ranging from Airframe Services to Cabin Solutions.
During the three-day event, a team of HAECO Americas technicians took part in the annual Aerospace Maintenance Competition. The HAECO team competed with 71 other teams in 28 events and won one of the events by completing work on a geared turbofan engine in the fastest time. The team was required to inspect the oil tank for foreign object damage (FOD) and remove the FOD if any. The winning of this award drew the Group’s participation in this year’s MRO Americas to a very satisfactory conclusion.
