In support of promoting career opportunities for girls in the aviation and aerospace industry, HAECO Americas has sponsored Girls in Aviation Day through the First in Flight Chapter of North Carolina Women in Aviation for three consecutive years. This year’s event was held on 19 October at Concord Regional Airport in North Carolina, attracting nearly 90 participants. HAECO Americas assembled a volunteer team from Airframe Services, Cabin Solutions, as well as Corporate staff to support the event. They showcased aircraft parts and materials, and provided an interactive discussion to inspire participants.
Girls in Aviation Day is an annual event organised by Women in Aviation International through local chapters globally. The event allows girls aged between eight and 17 to meet role models in the aviation field, join career panels, explore aircraft and airports, and participate in a variety of fun-filled activities designed to engage their interest in pursuing careers in aviation.
