ISO 45001 accreditation

In November 2020, HAECO Hong Kong obtained ISO 45001:2018 accreditation - an internationally recognised standard that sets a single benchmark for occupational health and safety management systems. The accreditation is an endorsement of HAECO Hong Kong’s continuous efforts to ensure it provides a safe and healthy workplace and mitigates work-related risk in its operations.

With safety as its top priority, HAECO Hong Kong has implemented a range of initiatives to improve its occupational health and safety performance. Amongst these is the “Safety Ambassador Programme”, which engages HAECO’s aircraft engineering specialists in promoting safe working practices and behaviours across the company. HAECO has also introduced the “See & Say” safety hazard reporting system to encourage staff at all levels to proactively report potential hazards in the workplace. In addition, HAECO Hong Kong has adopted the “Bowtie” methodology to identify and assess workplace hazards. This visualising tool assists HAECO production units in evaluating and mitigating potential risks when planning tasks and work processes.

The company strives to achieve zero harm in all its activities and to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all its employees.
