Thai AirAsia X has appointed HAECO Hong Kong as its MRO partner to provide ramp equipment services and technical assistance, including mechanics support, routine transit handling and defect rectifications, for the airline’s Airbus A330 and A330neo fleet.
Thai AirAsia X extended its charter-based operations to Hong Kong late last year and HAECO Hong Kong welcomed Thai AirAsia X’s first charter flight from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport on 29 November. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the airline has utilised its passenger aircraft for cargo operations, carrying essential goods such as medical supplies and food between Hong Kong and Thailand. HAECO Hong Kong was delighted to play a role in supporting its customer’s fight against the pandemic.
A joint venture between AirAsia X from Malaysia and Thai AirAsia, Thai AirAsia X has its headquarters at Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok.
