Empowering women at work

In line with HAECO Group’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace, joint venture company, Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL), established the HAESL Women’s Network (HWN) in March 2019.


In celebration of International Women’s Day on 8 March this year, HWN organised a series of events around the theme “Proud to be Women in HAESL”, to recognise the huge contribution made by female employees.


A health talk on 16 March offered tips for sleeping well and beating insomnia, using traditional Chinese medicine, soups, and massage. Further events were organised to enhance employees’ sense of community in the workplace, including a finger-painting event and a food packing and distribution event, arranged in conjunction with a local charity. A total of 300 bags of food supplies packed by HAESL volunteers were distributed to support low-income, single-mothers and their families.


A clothing donation campaign was also organised, and more than 300 pieces of quality ladies’ and children’s wear were collected from HAESL employees and donated to a charity that offers job opportunities that empower middle-aged women by giving them financial stability. Staff praised HAESL for its meaningful and socially sustainable approach to team building.
