HAECO Women’s Network

The HAECO Women’s Network received enthusiastic support for the launch of its first-ever mentoring programme. More than 80 staff across HAECO’s operating companies signed up for the initiative, which will see mentors and mentees get together to share success stories and experiences in order to facilitate learning.

To kick off the programme, an online inauguration ceremony was held on 26 May, with HAECO female employees who are eager to learn and develop themselves professionally with support from senior colleagues, divided into small groups to facilitate mentoring.

“We took into consideration the job functions of our participants and their language preferences to ensure that everyone gets the most from their individual groups. Through this programme, we hope to build up a sense of belonging and facilitate two-way learning with values and experience-sharing amongst our HAECO colleagues,” says Carrie Lau, General Manager Strategic Procurement and Co-chairperson of the HAECO Women’s Network.

Raymond Leung, Vice President Group Commercial (Asia Pacific), who will be mentoring colleagues is delighted to volunteer as a mentor for this programme. “I am excited for the launch of the programme and am thrilled to be part of it. Now the network is here so it’s up to all mentees and mentors to proactively reach out and make the best out of it. I look forward to the first meet-up with my mentees!”, he adds.
