At HAECO, we pride ourselves on providing top-notch, nose-to-tail maintenance, repair, and overhaul services that transcend national boundaries.
In late August, Nippon Cargo Airlines discovered that part of the horizontal stabiliser tip fairing on a Boeing 747-8 aircraft was missing. As this major repair was outside their capability, the airline requested immediate support from HAECO at Narita International Airport in Japan.
A HAECO Hong Kong AOG Recovery team of nine was immediately mobilised - including technical experts across airframe, sheet metal, avionics, NDT, technical services, and material management departments. The team spent 18 days at Narita, focusing on completing the repair, and were ably supported in their endeavours by Hong Kong-based colleagues in the commercial and material management departments, as well as the Base Maintenance On-wing Structure Support COE team.
Nippon Cargo Airlines were deeply appreciative of HAECO’s rapid response and comprehensive support, with NCA representative, Yusuke Kanasugi commenting that the airline valued the strength of the ongoing partnership with HAECO. HAECO Hong Kong CEO, Benjamin Scheidel, also expressed his gratitude to the team for their dedication and expertise in helping customers in need.
