At HAECO Composite Services, our passion for personal development extends beyond the workshop environment, out into our local community. Striving to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us, we identified Shantou Primary School at Neikeng as a key candidate in need of support.
Over the past six months, HAECO Composite Services has donated desktop computers, printers, and sets of desks and chairs to the school. Most recently, a foreign staff member has volunteered to teach bi-weekly interactive English lessons to 23 students, ranging from grade four to six.
Megan Johnson, of HAECO Composite Services, expressed how inspired she is to see the students smile as they sing and dance along throughout the lessons. Without the resources to pay professional foreign teaching staff, the school principal has voiced his sincere gratitude for the chance to extend this experience to his students.
The HAECO Composite team also organised a facility tour during the Golden Week holiday for the school’s principal, teachers, and students. The morning started with an introduction to the MRO business; the students then had the opportunity to explore the workshop in two groups. The visit culminated in a lunch outing to a local restaurant. As a memento of the visit, each student was presented with a model aircraft; perhaps inspiring them to one day consider a career in the aviation industry.
