HAECO has ventured in the world of advanced air mobility, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with EHang, one of the world's leading autonomous aerial vehicle (AAV) developers. The partners plan to cooperate in multiple areas, ranging from manufacturing and assembly to digital platforms and training. HAECO and EHang will also co-develop systems and solutions that cater to the needs of continued airworthiness and after-sales maintenance services, in preparation for commercial operation of the EH216-S - EHang’s passenger AAV.
“Advanced air mobility is a booming new segment in the aviation industry. We are excited to participate and look forward to developing this sector together with EHang,” said HAECO’s Group Director of Airframe Services, Jacqueline Jiang.
With over 70 years of experience in the aviation industry and offering a wide range of products and services, HAECO is well positioned to support EHang and jointly develop the systems, standards, and services required by advanced air mobility.
Xin Fang, Chief Operating Officer of EHang also welcomed the new partnership: “EHang is honoured to cooperate with HAECO Group, a partner with solid Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul strength in the global aviation industry. We look forward to co-developing EHang’s AAV after-sales maintenance service systems to provide our customers with high quality, efficient services across the globe, and to facilitate continued airworthiness of the EH216-S AAV.”
The partnership is a critical step towards EHang’s strategic goal of becoming an urban air mobility (UAM) platform operator and will also drive the emerging global UAM industry to explore more comprehensive, efficient, and sustainable operating services.
