HAECO hosts inaugural Aero Engines Asia Pacific in Hong Kong

HAECO took on the role of host sponsor for the highly anticipated Aero Engines Asia-Pacific conference, held for the first time in Hong Kong on 24 and 25 April 2024. This two-day gathering brought together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders from around the world to delve into the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities within the aero engine sector.

As the host organisation, HAECO hosted special networking activities for participants, including a welcome drinks reception and a harbour cruise. We were thrilled to welcome over 300 attendees, making it one of the most well-attended regional industry events in Hong Kong.

The conference featured informative presentations and interactive panel discussions led by industry experts, including members of HAECO's Group Leadership Team. Richard Sell, Chief Executive of HAECO Group, delivered the opening keynote address, while Gerald Steinhoff, Chief Commercial Officer, and Sandra Nieuwenhuijzen, Group Director of Components & Engine Services, shared valuable insights on the latest challenges and opportunities in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) sector.

George Edmunds, Chief Executive Officer of HAESL (Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited), a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and HAECO, presented a compelling case study highlighting HAESL as a shining example of a successful joint venture. The case study showcased HAESL's accomplishments and best practices to date, sparking meaningful discussions within the industry.

Following the conference program, attendees were treated to an exclusive tour of HAECO and HAESL facilities in Hong Kong. Participants had the opportunity to witness our well-equipped hangar and engine facilities firsthand, experiencing some of our state-of-the-art technologies.

HAECO remains dedicated to showcasing leadership and driving excellence, innovation, and collaboration in the aero engines and broader MRO industry. We take great pride in successfully hosting the inaugural Aero Engines Asia-Pacific conference in Hong Kong and eagerly anticipate playing a key role in future events.
