HAECO proudly joined in celebrating Aviation Maintenance Technician Day on 24 May, a special occasion dedicated to recognising the remarkable achievements of aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs) worldwide. These skilled professionals play a crucial role in performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance to ensure passenger safety in the skies. This date holds significance as it marks the birthday of Charles Edward Taylor, the talented individual who constructed the engine powering the Wright Brothers' historic airplane.
At HAECO Americas, a week-long celebration was organised at our Greensboro and Lake City facilities, honouring the invaluable contributions and accomplishments of our AMTs. Throughout the cities, individual AMT team members were highlighted on digital signs, accompanied by prominent banners expressing our gratitude with the message, "Thank you for all you do!" The week included all-hands meetings and celebratory lunches where our management team personally conveyed their appreciation for the indispensable role played by our AMTs. In Greensboro, we were honored to have a guest speaker from the Federation Aviation Administration share insightful perspectives on aviation safety with our colleagues.
In HAECO Hong Kong, we hosted a friendly, yet thrilling “Bolts and Nuts Removal and Installation Competition” to commemorate this special day. Multiple sessions were organized for our base and line maintenance teams, allowing them to challenge their peers in tests of speed and accuracy. The participants engaged in duels to demonstrate their quick hands, and winners were rewarded with gift coupons, while all participants received appreciation prizes.
HAECO extends our heartfelt gratitude to our AMT teams for their commitment to flight safety and their dedication to upholding the highest standards of excellence. Their contributions are instrumental to our continued success. We express our sincerest appreciation and wish all our AMTs a Happy AMT Day!
