This June, Hong Kong Aero Engine Services (HAESL) brought back an annual tradition—temporarily paused during the pandemic—by organising a blood drive in collaboration with the Hong Kong Red Cross. This event aimed to collect blood donations from staff.
Throughout the day, the welcoming Red Cross team successfully collected donations from 60 colleagues in a dedicated event space that featured a rest area. The donor-friendly environment allowed our staff to navigate the process smoothly, from registration to blood testing, and through to resting and recovery. While many volunteers registered online after seeing the announcement, a significant number of staff also walked in to show their support.
In addition to taking a meaningful break during the workday, donors were treated to snacks, drinks, and a small commemorative token as a token of appreciation for their support of the Red Cross’s humanitarian efforts.
Events like these highlight that HAECO’s commitment extends beyond excellence in the aviation industry. We strive to collaborate with more organisations in various locations to create a meaningful impact in the community, with a vision of building a better collective future.
