New radome transmissivity test rig at HAECO Composite Services

HAECO is pleased to announce the successful installation of an advanced radome transmissivity test rig in our cutting-edge Innovation Technology Room at HAECO Composite Services in Jinjiang. This new facility represents a major step forward in our commitment to innovation, efficiency, and delivering top-quality solutions to our customers.

We are also thrilled to share that the Radome Assessment and Transmission Test System (RATTS) project that developed this test rig has been nominated for an award at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, a well-established and globally renowned exhibition for the latest innovation and technology solutions!

The test rig, designed and developed by The Aviation Services Research Centre (ASRC) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), enables us to accurately measure and verify the performance of radomes right in-house. With this state-of-the-art equipment, our team can conduct precise transmissivity testing on-site, ensuring that both repaired and newly manufactured radomes meet the highest standards for radio frequency (RF) transparency and operational efficiency.

“This new test rig allows us to eliminate outsourcing, reduce repair lead times, and enhance service efficiency. It provides real-time, accurate testing, guaranteeing high-performance radomes,” said Sunny Mirchandani, General Manager of HAECO Composite Services. “By streamlining our processes, we strengthen HAECO’s position as an industry leader in radome repair, benefiting both our operations and our customers with faster repair cycles and shorter delivery schedules,” he added.

In addition to improving our composite repair and testing services, the Innovation Technology Room supports research and development for advancements in composite structures and other aviation technologies.
