On 28 July, HAECO welcomed the first Airbus A350 aircraft to land at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). The aircraft flew from Toulouse directly to Hong Kong to conduct route proving exercise around Asia. HAECO provided line maintenance and ramp services during its five transits at HKIA between 28 July and 1 August.

Airbus A350 aircraft will soon be joining the fleets of major carriers around the world. Qatar Airways, a HAECO line maintenance customer at HKIA, is the first airline to take delivery of Airbus A350 aircraft. With experience in handling the A350’s first visit to Hong Kong, HAECO is well prepared to support customers of this new type of aircraft.
