Mangrove planting has become a signature Sustainable Development activity for TAECO. In June, TAECO organised its 18th mangrove planting event. Ninety-eight staff members and volunteers planted 1,200 mangroves on the bank of Jiulong River.
Since commencement of the project in 2009, 29,200 mangroves have been planted in an area of 38,000 square metres, turning a not-so-pleasant river bank originally filled with trash and weeds into a thriving mangrove forest.
