In February, HAECO Group entered into a long-term agreement with Airbus to provide maintenance and engineering training in Mainland China and Southeast Asia, becoming one of Airbus’ Maintenance Training Services (MTS) partners. HAECO and Airbus have subsequently collaborated in providing training services for the new generation A350 aircraft, as part of its Entry-Into-Service support.

Three instructors from HAECO have been trained and certified by Airbus to conduct EASA-approved Airbus A350 training at the newly established Airbus Competence Training (ACT) training facility within HAECO Hong Kong; an EASA certificate will be issued to trainees by Airbus on course completion.

Three courses have been scheduled for 2015. HAECO offered the first course to 12 China Airlines (CAL) maintenance and training specialists in July. The remaining two courses this year will see HAECO sending its instructors overseas to provide training for industry professionals in Doha and Taipei. HAECO is aiming to provide at least six training courses during 2016.
