In April, GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) awarded Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (STAECO) the first Boeing 737-800 Split Scimitar Winglet (SSW) modification project to be performed in the Asia-Pacific region. The project wrapped up with a successful test landing on 14 April. During the installation phase, the STAECO project team worked closely with representatives from Aviation Partners Boeing (APB) to ensure on-time and quality redelivery and their impressive results have won high praise from the customer.

STAECO maintains a proven track record in winglet modification, and is one of only a handful of third-party MROs that possess the capability to work on SSW winglet modifications.
