In June, HAECO Xiamen signed an agreement with the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (“IVE”) to provide basic HKAR-147 aircraft maintenance practical training for IVE students.

Under the new agreement, IVE will send a batch of around 40 students studying for a Higher Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering to HAECO’s facility in Xiamen in September each year, to undergo 12 weeks of basic practical training in aircraft maintenance.

Over the years, HAECO Technical Training facilities in Hong Kong and Xiamen have contributed to the education and development of large numbers of aircraft engineering professionals who have served the Group’s and the wider aviation industry’s needs in the Asia Pacific region.
