HAECO Xiamen has also signed a training co-operation framework agreement with the Shanghai Aircraft Airworthiness Certification Center (SAACC), which is part of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

Under the agreement, HAECO Xiamen will work closely with the SAACC to develop a series of tailored classroom and practical training modules, and will become a key training base for the SAACC’s team of airworthiness surveyors. Prior to signing the agreement formalising the partnership, HAECO Xiamen had already delivered five modules of basic skills training to SAACC personnel.

Since its inception, HAECO Xiamen Technical Training has delivered over 250,000 student-courses in-house and externally to more than 300 customers. These include airlines, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and MRO service providers.

The establishment of a training base for the SAACC, alongside those recently set up with the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) and the CAAC East China Regional Administration, provides an opportunity for HAECO Xiamen to exchange knowledge and experience with aircraft OEMs and regulatory authorities, as well as to contribute to the development of the aviation industry in China.
