On 30 September, HAECO Hong Kong welcomed Royal Air Philippines’ inaugural flight from Bohol-Panglao International Airport (TAG). The flight to Hong Kong was the very first connecting Panglao to a global destination.

Budget carrier Royal Air Philippines now flies twice a week to Hong Kong, deploying an Airbus A319 equipped with IAE V2500 engine to service the route. HAECO Hong Kong has been appointed as the airline’s MRO partner to provide transit mechanical assistance and ramp services during the one-hour ground time. The MRO is looking forward to extending its transit support for Royal Air Philippines to include engineering certification in the longer term.
