The HAECO Invitational Basketball Tournament was held in Greensboro, North Carolina in December last year. The high school basketball tournament was originally founded in 1976 and is presented annually by the Greensboro Sports Council; eight local high school men’s and women’s teams competed for the 2019 championship title over the three-day event. HAECO has been title sponsor since 2012 and to date, the tournaments have raised more than US$804,000 for local charities and participating schools.

During the three-day tournament, an information booth was set up for students and their families to learn more about HAECO Americas and careers in the aviation industry, and following the event, the winning and runner-up teams were invited to celebrate their victories at HAECO Americas’ headquarters in Greensboro. This year, around 100 students and their coaches participated in an informational tour of the facility to find out more about the aircraft engineering industry.
