On 12 April, HAECO Hong Kong welcomed a charter flight from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport operated by Nordwind Airlines. The Boeing 777-200LR was carrying essential healthcare equipment, including PPE and sanitisers to Bucharest on behalf of the Government of Romania, as part of the country’s efforts to stem the tide of COVID-19.

With support from Hong Kong Radar Aviation Services, Nordwind’s handling agent in Hong Kong, HAECO provided transit check and line services support for the flight, including technical assistance, aircraft pushback, water services and cabin cleaning. The MRO was pleased to be able to play a role in helping its customers fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
