HAECO Hong Kong has recently completed a split scimitar winglet modification in tandem with a C Check on a Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800 aircraft – its first for the airline. Existing blended winglets were changed to a split scimitar configuration in order to improve fuel efficiency. HAECO Hong Kong is an Aviation Partners Boeing-authorised modification centre and has completed over 110 winglet modifications on Boeing 737NG, 757 and 767 aircraft.
