Interview with Cathay Pacific Airways

Cathay Pacific Airways took delivery of its first Airbus A350 aircraft in May, introducing a brand new travel experience to the airline’s passengers. As Cathay Pacific’s MRO partner of choice, HAECO Hong Kong is proud to be Line Services provider to its new A350 fleet at Hong Kong International Airport. In the second quarter of 2016, HAECO Xiamen marked a significant milestone in its history, when it redelivered its 2,500^th aircraft input since commencing operations in March 1996.

In June, HAECO Hong Kong and HAECO Americas completed cabin modifications on a total of 18 Boeing 777 aircraft for Air Canada. The inputs were part of Air Canada’s “777 Dream Cabin” programme, awarded to HAECO Cabin Solutions in March 2015.

HAECO Americas, a subsidiary of the HAECO Group with headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA, has signed a letter of intent with Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation to become a preferred airframe MRO partner for Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ).

On 3 June, Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Ltd. (HAESL) held a construction commencement ceremony for its Phase VI extension. Augustus Tang, CEO of HAECO Group and Mr Warren East, CEO of Rolls-Royce, officiated at the ceremony.

Inspiration flies around the world

HAECO Landing Gear Services has recently completed the first landing gear overhaul for a Boeing 777-300ER in China.

On 28 August, following a departure ceremony at HAECO Hong Kong, local pilot, Captain Hank Cheng, embarked on his “Inspiration” three-month, round-the-world journey to promote the Spirit of Hong Kong.
