HAESL volunteers for good cause

In October, HAESL organised a volunteer event to help paint the walls of the Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association’s (HKYHA) Bradbury Hostel. The initiative was a follow-up to a fundraising campaign in 2012, when HAESL helped raise funds to sponsor tools and materials to renovate the hostel, with the aim of providing a better place for visitors to enjoy Hong Kong’s beautiful natural environment.

Volunteers from HAESL and other Swire group companies assembled at the Wong Shek Pier, Sai Kung, and spent a day working on the renovation – removing old paint in the hallways and reception area, and then painting the cleaned walls.

HKYHA is a non-profit organisation that aims to provide friendly, comfortable and safe accommodation services for hostellers. The organisation encourages travellers to explore and enjoy nature in Hong Kong.
