Base Maintenance
Celebrating 20-year partnership

On 13 October, HAECO Xiamen celebrated the 20th anniversary of its partnership with Japan Airlines (JAL), marking a significant milestone in the longstanding relationship between the two companies. A ceremony to commemorate the occasion was held at HAECO Xiamen, attended by Mr Yuji Akasaka, President of JAL Engineering, Augustus Tang, CEO of HAECO Group, and Summit Chan, CEO of HAECO Xiamen.

The partnership dates back to the establishment of HAECO Xiamen, when JAL became one of the company’s original shareholders. HAECO Xiamen’s first aircraft input from JAL was a Boeing 747-200, back in 1997. Over the past two decades, HAECO Xiamen has earned a high degree of recognition and trust from the airline through the completion of maintenance checks on JAL’s wide range of aircraft types, including Boeing 747, 767 and 777s, as well as passenger-to-freighter conversions on Boeing 747-200 aircraft and cabin retrofits on Boeing 767 and 777s.

Looking ahead, HAECO Xiamen will continue its efforts in pursuing operational excellence and provide JAL with best-in-class aircraft maintenance services.
