A380 C Check on ANA’s “FLYING HONU”

In March, HAECO Xiamen completed the first C Check on one of All Nippon Airways’ (ANA) Airbus A380s. The aircraft, which entered service in May 2019, is the first of ANA’s three “FLYING HONU” series - dedicated to the Tokyo-Honolulu route.

Owing to COVID-19 travel restrictions, the double-decker aircraft has so far only operated some special “flights to nowhere” for aviation enthusiasts.

Despite the challenges presented by quarantine requirements during the pandemic, HAECO Xiamen worked closely with ANA to complete the maintenance on time. A second “FLYING HONU” A380 C Check was successfully completed in April.

ANA has been a valued HAECO Xiamen customer since 1997, and the MRO has provided airframe maintenance and modification, as well as cabin reconfiguration services on the airline’s wide range of aircraft types, including Boeing 737, 747, 767 and 777 aircraft and Airbus A380s. Additionally, HAECO Xiamen provides line services, including comprehensive technical assistance, aircraft release and AOG support for ANA at various airports in the Chinese mainland.
