The HAECO Invitational Basketball Tournament, an annual high school competition held in Greensboro, North Carolina, took place in December last year. Established in 1976, the tournament features men’s and women’s teams from eight local high schools competing for the championship title over a three-day event. Tournament proceeds are donated to local charities and participating schools. The championship is planned and implemented by the Greensboro Sports Council and HAECO has been title sponsor since 2012.
During the tournament, an information booth was set up for students and their families to learn more about HAECO Americas and careers in the aviation industry, including internship and apprenticeship opportunities offered by HAECO Americas through the Guilford Technical Community College’s aviation programme. Demand for qualified technicians is expected to increase over the next two decades.
HAECO is proud to congratulate the Southeast Guilford Highschool Women’s and Greensboro Day Men’s teams who won the 2021 tournament, and we are already looking forward to next year’s event!
