In August, HAECO played host to a group of 60 underprivileged students from 20 Mainland Chinese cities at its maintenance hangars and other facilities in Hong Kong. The visit was one of the activities under Cathay Pacific’s and Dragonair’s “I Can Fly – Youth Aviation Training Programme”, an extension to the Airlines’ Hong Kong flagship youth aviation programme “I Can Fly” in Mainland China.
The young guests were given an eye-opening guided tour of the company’s aircraft maintenance operations, as well as an introduction to the aircraft engineering industry. HAECO supports educational programmes and hosts hundreds of students in Hong Kong and Mainland China every year. The company is keen to inspire the younger generation to pursue careers in the aviation industry.
