In collaboration with Japan Airlines (JAL), HAECO Hong Kong welcomed more than 100 young students from the Hong Kong Japanese School Primary Section and Japanese International School (Taipo) to its facility at Hong Kong International Airport on two days in November and December 2019. The annual hangar visit for school students was launched in 2013.
A guided tour gave students the opportunity to get a close-up look at aircraft undergoing maintenance in HAECO’s hangars, while a presentation and Q&A session with technical staff enabled them to gain some basic knowledge of aircraft maintenance work procedures. The visits proved to be an eye-opening experience for the young guests.
HAECO Hong Kong and JAL have enjoyed a close business relationship over the years. The current scope of services includes comprehensive technical assistance, certification and release services, cabin cleaning, ramp equipment provisioning, and defect clearance for JAL’s Boeing 767, 777 and 787 aircraft.
