In July, HAECO Xiamen and HAECO Landing Gear Services collaborated on the overhaul and replacement of a full set of landing gear on a Boeing 747-400 freighter operated by Russian cargo carrier, Sky Gates Airlines. The proximity of the two MROs’ overhaul facilities at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport meant that the customer was able to leverage their combined expertise, whilst benefitting from savings in time and cost of shipping of serviceable parts.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, special visa application procedures are currently required for overseas airline customers entering the Chinese mainland. With HAECO Xiamen’s assistance throughout the application process and the support of relevant authorities, the airline obtained the visa without delaying the aircraft input schedule.
