For the fifth consecutive year, HAECO Americas has sponsored the Girls in Aviation Day event through the First in Flight Chapter of North Carolina Women in Aviation. Held on 25 September at Concord Regional Airport in North Carolina, the HAECO Americas volunteer team showcased aircraft parts and materials, talked to visitors, and provided an interactive display that aimed to inspire girls to consider careers in aviation.
Girls in Aviation Day is an annual event organised by Women in Aviation International through local chapters globally. This year there were more than 85 individual events held in 18 countries, reaching nearly 10,000 girls aged between eight and 17. Participants were able to meet role models in the aviation industry, join career panels, explore aircraft and airports, and participate in a range of hands-on, fun-filled activities, introducing girls to career possibilities in aviation.
HAECO Americas is proud to support Girls in Aviation Day again and looks forward to planning for the event next year.
