HAECO was delighted to participate in the 6th International Aviation Supply Chain (IASC) Leadership Summit ‘Go Net Zero’ in Shanghai from 6 to 7 November 2023, where our Group Leadership Team was invited to share their insights on sustainability and other aviation related topics.
Held in conjunction with China International Import Expo (CIIE) and co-hosted by global aerospace clusters, the summit aims to foster more collaboration between Chinese and global aviation suppliers and help SMEs understand the industry’s market dynamics. Participants include representatives from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), airlines, MROs, OEMs, SMEs, investors, institutions and more.
Speaking alongside other female leaders at ‘The She Power – Women in Aviation for Sustainability’ panel on Day 1, Jacqueline Jiang, Group Director Airframe Services, discussed HAECO’s emphasis on diversity and inclusion, supported by an internal strategy that empowers women. She also shared our latest digital and sustainability projects, all of which were led and implemented by mixed gender teams. To drive these messages home, a ‘She Power’ video was premiered at the panel to celebrate the unimitable spirit of HAECO women.
Day 2 morning kicked off with keynotes by top players in the aviation supply chain. Among them, Gerald Steinhoff, Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the important facilitative role of MROs in ensuring the smooth running of the supply chain, and their top priorities in propelling the industry towards a net-zero goal. Citing recent initiatives by HAECO, Gerald urged other MRO players to focus on enhancing operational efficiency, adopting circularity principles, and fostering innovation through collaboration both up and down the supply chain.
As a global MRO solutions provider and an integral part of the aviation industry, HAECO believes contributing to global sustainability efforts is not an option, but an imperative. By sharing our perspectives and experiences and learning from others at global events, we can continue to take the lead in shaping the industry towards a more sustainable future.
