HAECO proudly sponsored the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital See Love Tour 2024 in Hong Kong from 22 February to 3 March. This marked the tenth year of HAECO's partnership with Orbis, and the event was a great success.
After an eight-year hiatus, the Flying Eye Hospital returned to Hong Kong and was stationed at HAECO. Our team provided essential logistics and maintenance support for the aircraft, including vehicle escort and parking, ground power unit services, cabin cleaning, and ensuring the smooth operation of the goodwill tours. HAECO has been collaborating with Orbis since 1994 and has become a dedicated partner and advocate for Orbis' mission to save sight.
As part of the tour, invited guests had the exclusive opportunity to visit the plane and learn about the life-changing work carried out by Orbis volunteers on board. Approximately 300 HAECO staff members also had the chance to board the iconic aircraft and deepen their understanding of Orbis' mission. In addition, an interactive booth promoting eye health education was set up on HAECO's premises, providing engaging games and activities for visitors of all ages.
Richard Sell, Chief Executive of HAECO Group, expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying, "As Orbis' longstanding partner, we are thrilled to see the increasing number of visitors to Orbis' goodwill tours over the years. With an expected 3,000 visitors this year, a total of 35,000 people will have experienced the life-changing work of Orbis firsthand during our partnership." He emphasized the power of collaboration and the strength of the community, stating that together, they can achieve much more than individually, as demonstrated by the success of this initiative over the years.
