Hike for Future 2024: Cleanup hike to protect our wetlands

Biodiversity hubs play a vital role for our planet and its living beings. On World Wetlands Day in February, a group of 35 colleagues from Hong Kong, together with their families, ventured to the great outdoors to clean up the Tung O Ancient Trail and protect the Tung Chung Wetland.

The eco-warriors managed to gather over 100 kg of trash, restoring the area’s clean surroundings. They also appreciated the natural and cultural assets of the hiking trail, which raised their awareness in environmental conservation.

We believe even the smallest deeds can have a profound effect. Through our involvement in this environmental cleanup, we hope to motivate others to take small steps towards a more sustainable future.
