Base Maintenance
New customer

In April, STAECO completed a scheduled maintenance check on a Boeing 737-300 freighter for new cargo carrier, Central Airlines. The work was carried out at STAECO’s facility at Rizhao in Shandong Province.

The Boeing 737-300 freighter is the Chinese mainland carrier’s first aircraft. As soon as the new airline had obtained formal approval to operate from the CAAC, Central asked STAECO to work out a detailed plan and project scope, covering structural repair inspection and maintenance checks.

During maintenance, the STAECO team encountered various technical issues due to the age of the aircraft. Another challenge was the long lead time in obtaining necessary parts. However, thanks to the STAECO’s extensive experience and expertise the team was able to resolve all the issues and complete the maintenance checks on time. The MRO’s efficiency and service excellence earned praise from the customer and laid a good foundation for future co-operation between the two companies.
