HAECO launches tree plantation to combat desertification

HAECO is committed to sustainability and environmental protection. In collaboration with the Gansu QingSuo Philanthropy Development Center, we inaugurated a 47,000-square-meter tree plantation in Minqin County, Gansu Province, aimed at addressing the ongoing desertification in the region.

The plantation features 5,000 drought-resistant sacsaoul trees donated by HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) and is strategically situated between the Badain Jaran and Tengger Deserts. With over 90 percent of Minqin County already affected by desertification, these trees will act as an ecological barrier, preventing the merging of arid lands and protecting the survival of both the county and its 170,000 residents.

This initiative builds on the efforts of the Gansu QingSuo Philanthropy Development Center, which has established six forests through volunteer initiatives covering 10,210 acres in the Minqin area. Our collaboration underscores HAECO’s commitment to making a positive impact in local communities and promoting environmental preservation.
